Learning Cohorts

Community

Wayside Cohorts are groups of 10-50 high school students who are taught by professional educators and guided by qualified cohort-leaders down a three-year curricular path of learning, leading to endless possibilities.

Longevity with peers and with teachers cultivates lasting friendships and rich mentor relationships leading to excellent outcomes.

Rest

Students work from the comfort of their own homes. Parents, students, and cohort leaders in the same geographical area can organize in-person gatherings as desired and able. Parents can focus on other things by delegating their child’s high school education.

The Gift of 25%

Our curriculum is designed to be three years of study followed by a fourth year in an early gap-year experience or internship. We limit our workweek to approximately 30 hours per week without sacrificing excellence.

What additional interests or adventures will your child pursue for the fourth year and with the extra 10-20 hours per week? A new language, a part-time job, music lessons, time for arts or hobbies? Be refreshed!

Bring a Friend

We invite you to invite others and create your own cohort. We’ll provide the expertise needed while you provide the depth of relationships needed.

Because of the Coronavirus, we believe that the 2020-2021 school year will be difficult.

We would love to provide a low-cost, excellent, and on-line option for parents, while also recruiting unemployed or under-employed teachers to serve as cohort leaders.
